Does It Live Up to Fury Road?: Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) Movie Review

🔥🤯 Heeeeeeeeeey~! 🚗💨

Welcome back, movie lovers! I'm still tackling the list of movies that I need to catch up on and this time we're talking about FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA. I've been looking forward to this movie because Mad Max: Fury Road is incredible, I love Furiosa as a character, I love Anya Taylor-Joy as an actress and i wanted to see what they would be able to accomplish with this movie.

I have to admit that when I was sitting in the theater I realized this was a different movie than I was expecting. By the time I left the theater, I was disappointed. HOWEVER, I rewatched this movie at home and honestly THIS IS A GOOD MOVIE. I think I was disappointed because I went in expecting this movie to be more like Fury Road than it actual was.

The acting in this movie is incredible, I really like the story and the visuals are stunning. There is a lot of CGI which was a drawback BUT they were able to accomplish practical elements that are really impressive!

I think if you're expecting a more character focused story that has action then you'll probably have a good time with this one. There were plenty of negative reviews for this one but what I found was really overall positive. I think if you're a fan of the previous installment, just know that this isn't going to be as similar as I think would be expected (I expected) based on the trailers.

Snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers, young Furiosa falls into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel, presided over by the Immortan Joe. As the two tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa soon finds herself in a nonstop battle to make her way home.
