Israel Clueless On How To Tackle Houthi Threat, Mossad Chief Offers Bold Plan

Houthis' relentless attacks force Israeli citizens to take cover in bomb shelters, Yemen-based rebel group is undeterred by Israeli airstrikes on its military bases, and infrastructure. Israeli PM has vowed to eliminate Houthi threat, however, Israeli security officials are doubtful about IDF's capabilities to stop Houthi attacks. Israeli officials said it’s difficult to stop Houthis just without military support from US. However, the Mossad chief has offered a bold plan to stop Houthis' missile attacks on Israel.
David Barnea reportedly has suggested an attack on Iran to stop Houthis from attacking Israel. Barnea put forward the plan after Israeli airstrikes in Yemen failed to stop Houthi attacks. Mossad chief said attacking Iran would be more effective in stopping Houthis. Israeli intelligence claimed Houthis are dependent on weapons supply from Iran.
Barnea's plan is in contrast with Israeli PM and defence minister orders to directly attack Houthis. Netanyahu disagrees with Barnea, saying ‘Iran is a different issue’ which needs to be dealt at proper time. Houthis have launched 5 ballistic missiles and 5 drone attacks on Israel in last 10 days.
Amid increasing Houthi attacks US-Israel reportedly have discussed plans to increase military pressure on Houthis. However, Israeli officials are not optimistic saying Houthis are ‘hard nut to crack’. Houthis have vowed to continue attacks on Israel until it stops war in Gaza. Iran's ally has launched 200 missiles and 170 drone attacks at Israel since Oct 2023.
