Dezart formed in 2004. That September, the group released its first single "Fortune Flower", which sold somewhat well among the visual underground. Dezart went on to tour throughout the remainder of 2004, and impressively managed to build a pretty strong cult following by early 2005, after about only a year together. In the summer of 2005, however, Dezart ran into their first lineup change when guitarist Takuma left. He was never replaced, and the group continued on as a trio, releasing a few more singles throughout 2005, and touring numerous indies venues across Japan. Despite their success and quickly-found popularity, Dezart announced their disbandment in early 2006. They played their final live in March of 2006, and then disbanded afterwards. Frontman Riku retired from music after Dezart split, and instead focused on being a model exclusively, which he still does today. The bassist and drummer of Dezart, Yosuke and Hikari, went on to immediately form Auncia, until its eventual disbandment in 2011. After Auncia folded, Yosuke then retired from the visual scene, while Hikari went on to rejoin his other fellow Auncia bandmates, and all of them formed Ansia, which Hikari is still active in today.
