B'as Ceann Trá , Corca Dhuibhne, Co. Chiarraí do James Goodman, píobaire, amhránaí, rinceoir agus theastaigh uaidh ceol píb Cúige Mumhan a chaomhnú 'théis an Gorta Mór. Bhailigh sé ós cionn 2000 port idir suantraíthe, foinn mall agus ceol rince : tá an bailiúchán seo i gColáiste Tríonóide agus go digiteach ar suíomh ITMA. D'fhoilsigh an triúir dlúth-dhiosca le cuid den cheol ó na lámhscribhinní seo dar teideal, "Tunes from the Goodman Manuscripts" .

TG4 Music Awards : Mayo Flute and multi-instrumentalist Emer Mayock (flute), Mick O'Brien (uilleann pipes) & Aoife Ní Bhriain (fiddle) were presented with the TG4 Musical Collaboration Irish Award to celebrate their work which led to the recording of the CD, " Tunes from the Goodman Manuscripts " . Canon James Goodman, who was a piper, singer and dancer, documented well over 2000 tunes in the 1860's in an attempt to preserve the musical tradition of the Munster pipers following the devastation of the Great Famine. He willed these manuscripts to Trinity College in Dublin. ITMA (Irish Traditional Musical Archives) subsequently digitised and catalogued these manuscripts and much of this work is available to the public on the ITMA site.
