Opening Keynote: Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in conversation with Dr. Helene D. Gayle, President & CEO, The Chicago Community Trust discuss vaccines and the fight against COVID-19.

Summit Background:
This ninth Annual Summit is organized by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), CARE and The Carter Center. The Summit’s focus will be on the three critical, fast evolving dimensions of the unfolding Covid-19 pandemic: the pandemic’s acceleration of the food security crisis; launching remarkable vaccines while dealing with both variants and misinformation; and the intensifying international debate on critical reforms to better manage the current crisis while preparing for future pandemics.
