To add a custom location on Instagram, you will need to follow these steps:

Open the Facebook app and tap on the “What’s on your mind” and tap “Check in”
In the search bar, type in the name of the location you want to add.
If the location doesn't appear in the search results, tap on "Add [location name]" at the bottom of the screen.
Enter the name of the location (address is optional).
