This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Observe. Think. Act. Bruno Buchberger describes the way invention was used in order to improve the technology of inventing by explaining the way of how evolution happens. Self reflection and the way to experience experiences in meditation will show you that mathematics in itself is the way to connect with everything and meditation is the way to connect with all.

Bruno Buchberger, Dr.phil. Dr.h.c.mult. has been Full Professor of Computer Mathematics at JKU Linz, Austria since 1974. He has held numerous visiting professorships and done research stays and has given over 100 keynotes at international conferences. Aged 23, Bruno Buchberger invented the Theory of „Groebner Bases“, a fundamental method of computer mathematics, which made him world famous.
Currently, his main research area is the automation of the mathematical invention process. In 1987 he founded RSIC (head until 2000) and in 1989 Softwarepark Hagenberg (head until 2013). The initiator of numerous innovation projects in Austria holds six honorary doctorates (Europe, UK, Canada), is member of the Academy of Europe (1992, awarded to only three Austrian mathematicians) and has received the ACM Award for Theory and Practice (awarded to only three Europeans) in San Francisco (2008). He will be keynote speaker at the World Congress of Mathematics 2014, Seoul and was named Austrian of the Year 2010 (Die Presse). (Photo Credits: Weihbold OÖN)

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
