Tchia is a third-person platformer adventure, where we will plunge into the story of a little girl named Tchia, who along with her father lives a carefree life in peace and harmony on a small tropical island. However, their tranquility comes to an end when her parent is kidnapped by a villain - a henchman of a powerful deity named Meavora, who has long ago seized the main character's homeland. The brave islander has to leave her island to save her father and put an end to the rule of the evil forces. In search of her father, Tchia sets out to explore a tropical archipelago prototyped as New Caledonia, known for its incredibly beautiful beaches and one of the largest lagoons in the world.
The world of islands located in the Pacific Ocean has a very rich flora and fauna. The main character will have to visit dense jungle, dense swamps, sandy beaches, rocky slopes of cliffs and winding rivers. The islands are inhabited by a variety of wild animals, and in the jungle players will meet all kinds of exotic plants. Given that the game has a semi-open world, there will always be interesting places to explore - from sunken ships at the bottom of the ocean to mysterious treasures hidden on the highest peaks of the mountains.
The gameplay in Tchia is very leisurely and, for the most part, consists of exploring the islands. Tchia has to explore the surrounding world, pass through mini-games, search for chests with all sorts of items, as well as perform simple side quests. There are not many dangers in the game, but even if something goes wrong, the protagonist can't die. In case the health scale is depleted, the girl simply faints, after which she regains consciousness next to the campfire where she rested last time.
One of the main features of the game is the main character's ability to possess various animals and objects, establishing temporary control over them. The time of stay is limited by the soul index bar at the bottom of the screen. The energy depletes over time, and once it is depleted Tchia flies out of the alien body. Each animal has special abilities, for example, the crab allows you to cut ropes, the deer can run incredibly fast, allowing you to quickly move around the island, and by possessing a dog, the protagonist can dig out the hidden treasure maps. To move, you can also possess birds and float through the air, and then, when the soul scale comes to an end, jump out of them and use your glider to land gracefully at your destination.

The map in Tchia is not implemented in the usual way. The player will not be able to determine where the main character is at the moment, so you have to navigate by the surroundings. In addition, to choose a further path, you have to use a compass instead of the usual mini-map, which is not very convenient.
Great attention is paid to the sound accompaniment. The music in the game is very pleasant and calming, and also has practical applications and allows you to influence the gameplay. Tchia has a ukulele at his disposal, which can not only be played during musical scenes. The instrument has magical powers that allow you to transform the world around you, from changing the time of day and weather to growing giant plants. The ukulele also allows you to summon various animals that you can inhabit.

Battles are also present in the game. The girl will have to engage in battle with enemies - ragtag monsters. In order to win, you'll need to inhabit lamps, fuel canisters and other flammable objects to launch yourself at the enemy and set him on fire. Since the protagonist can't fight directly with anyone, the battles look a little chaotic, because you are constantly running around and looking for someone to possess in order to fight the monsters.

The graphics in the game, on the one hand, too simple, on the other hand, very bright and colorful. The soft colors perfectly convey the atmosphere of the Pacific archipelago, and the beautiful music harmoniously complements the gameplay.
