I had this song for like a year or 2 before I surrendered my life to Christ but he was already working on me then. One morning when woke up I received a text that morning saying a family friend had committed suicide. I burst out in tears and started talking to God. I went on YouTube an came across this beat. For some reason when I heard this beat the lyrics started flowing out. Second verse was talking about how I woke up again to tragic news about my dad dying in a car accident. I was not expecting to have my dad for a few years, but it’s all good now I gained a Father that is in Heaven. Later on in the second verse I also talk about a classmate/friend/ best friend friend dying in a car accident. We was playing basketball in the gym together the day before I believe so and boom the next day or couple days later that morning we heard that his oldest brother and him had passed away in a car accident. Till this day it’s still emotional to talk about but I remember the verse “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7) Thank God that he is a caring God that we can come to him and talk to him about whatever we going through. He also gave us his Spirit to comfort us. I want to thank the Holy Spirit for comforting me during those days of sadness and helping me write this song. I don’t deserve no type of praise or glory but God deserves all the glory and praise. He sent his only and begotten son (Jesus Christ) because he loved us so much. I know times are hard for everybody If you going through anything I pray that his grace, peace, and mercy be with you.
