Rock Band 3 Deluxe // All Summer Long (Power Gig Chart) FC // 146,321

I've heard this song described as "the bastard lovechild between Sweet Home Alabama and Werewolves of London, but without any charisma" - which seems apt.
Besides the rampant plagiarism, my favorite part is in the chorus when he rhymes the word "things" with "things". Kid Rock is truly a musical genius.


For real though this chart is actually kind of a challenge to FC, that solo is no joke. Power Gig charting standards hurt it a little with all the extra forced strums, but in a way it kinda helped to keep rhythm with the broken up zigs - after a few tries in practice mode I was able to hit them every single time.


Score also went spectacularly well; 3 of the 4 acts are fairly basic, but the first one is for whammy dependent reverse ticks and I got it just about perfect - excellent whammy timings and last framed the back end.

Was on pace to tie the path's projected optimal but lost a single point to the short gapped orange sustain at 2:08. I genuinely don't know if it was a glitch tick or a 1-frame drop since there was absolutely nothing left of the sustain tail visually but in any case it's not worth worrying about, this score is awesome.


There was also absolutely no reason to go for a 2x squeeze (not a double squeeze, just a single squeeze with an additional overlapped back end) on the final outro chorus act; points would have worked out the exact same by starting and ending anywhere else in that set of chords but I had to do something entertaining after the solo was over lol


This song never officially made it to the RB series but it did have a few customs made - I had enough... "fun"... with this chart that I don't feel the need to play it again though.
