I think this is the best hiking route on Santo Antao Island.
The tour to Figueiras took us into a valley that cannot be reached by car. Visitors can only get here on foot - so do we. Anyone who explores a country at a leisurely pace often creates the most beautiful encounters for themselves. You are no longer the nameless tourist behind the bus window, but a guest. In Figueiras we stayed at the private house for tourists in the middle of the village.
