Government provides relief Mealie Meal to victims affected by the Floods in Lunga District.

Speaking at this event the Luapula Province Minister Mr. Njavwa Simutowe said that this mealie meal you are seeing here today is from your government headed by your President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema. the Government is there to ensure every Zambian citizen is taken care of.

Also speaking was Luapula Deputy Permanent Secretary Mrs . Prudence Chinama who emphasized that this mealie meal is from the Government and not an individual or any grouping. this is mealie meal for everyone and not a small grouping like the rumours we have heard.

Lunga District Commissioner Mr. Matthews Mwewa also stated that the government will continue providing social amenities to the people of lunga district because our crops were submerged in water and cassava our main cash crop.
