Between the ages of 𝟏𝟓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐𝟓, the skin undergoes crucial hormonal changes. During this stage, common concerns such as acne, blackheads, whiteheads, pigmentation, and sensitivity are often experienced. If not addressed properly, these issues may later result in premature aging, fine lines, wrinkles, and melasma.

In teenage years and early 20s, two common extremes are observed:

𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 is required twice daily, but facewash should not be used. Gentle emulsion-based cleansers (𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫) are more suitable, as they hydrate the skin without stripping natural oils.
Monthly vacuum suction clean-ups are recommended to unclog pores instead of aggressive scrubbing.
𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 should be done through a simple overnight tissue test to determine whether the skin is oily, dry, normal, or combination.
𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞:
Gentle cleansing with gold & mint cleanser
Daily application of a marrow beauty pack for nourishment
Lightweight moisturizers (Lavender Camphor, Rose Almond, or cocoa butter)
Mineral sunscreen with SPF 30–60 (chemical sunscreens should be avoided at a young age)

At least 𝟐–𝟑 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 of water should be consumed daily.
𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐥 must be avoided as they damage skin, hair, and internal health.
𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬, 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐬, 𝐝𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧-𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 such as eggs, soy, and pulses should be included in the diet.
𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 (𝐛𝐲 𝟖 𝐩𝐦) and screen exposure must be reduced at night.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲
It must be remembered that age is not skin type. Skin type must be identified, and care must be provided accordingly. A holistic and herbal approach ensures long-term skin health. Even if skincare was not initiated in teenage years, it can still be started later at 25 or beyond.
