Magnolia soulangeana flowering

One of the best flowering Magnolias! Also my favorite Magnolia despite you see them very often.

For years this tree in our frontyard was treated as a shrub and was pruned multiple times a year. It was a bit messy and way to compact. The past years I've transformed it into a small tree and this spring it's absolutely amazing!

I prune back hard only once a year right after the flowering period. I will keep it at this height and shape. In this way I'll try to keep it as long as possible in a very small garden space.
