Hello everyone, I'm CEO Trieu Vang. Today's episode begins with a peaceful morning. While sipping a hot cup of tea in the chilly weather, I suddenly remembered the chicken eggs hatching in the coop. When I went to check, I was delighted to see the adorable little chicks chirping. I let them out into the yard to get used to the morning sun and gentle breeze.

After tending to the chickens, I sat back down with my tea and suddenly thought: How wonderful it would be to have some warm sugarcane syrup to drink this winter! And so I began my journey to harvest sugarcane to make syrup the traditional way.

I asked around the neighborhood and an old man led me to a mature sugarcane field. After harvesting enough sugarcane, I started cutting it into short sections and washing each stalk clean. Then I made my own manual wooden sugarcane press – entirely using human strength to press out every drop of sweet sugarcane juice.

The sugarcane juice, after being pressed, is poured into a large pot to be boiled down. A flickering fire under the stove, the sweet, fragrant steam spreading throughout the house, makes me feel like I'm reliving the flavors of my hometown. A simple morning of labor, yet so meaningful and joyful.
