Hello, my name is Stephenie and I live in the UK. I was born in Hong Kong and lived there until I was 17. Cantonese is a fascinating dialect and I hope to explore the dialect with you all in future videos. This is my first video and I hope to create more content to share with Cantonese learners and speakers around the world.

In today's video, we explore the 9 tones in Cantonese. Stay to the end for the bonus tune to remember and help you memorise the Cantonese tones.

Tone 1, 3, 4 and 6 - stays the same
Tone 2 and 5 - rising
Tone 7, 8 and 9 - shorter and snappy version of 1, 3 and 6 respectively
