This is my reenactment of the original 1 Mark coin test on the V12 BMW engine. The car is my 1994 850CSI, the engine is the BMW S70 Motorsport Division version (further developed for use in the Mclaren F1), a 5.7 litre V12 running 380 HP. the coin is a modern UK fifty pence piece. The engine is started normally and then revved to around 2,500 RPM.
