There are several credit cards that get you a high value back on groceries. Depending on whether you want the most value possible, or if you want cash back only, or if you are willing to get a card with an annual fee or not, you can pick the card that best suits you.

The first card we take a look at is the Rogers Red Mastercard. This is a free to own card that gets you 2% cash back on everything as long as you have at least one service with either Rogers, Fido, or Shaw. As well as this, if you use your cash back towards paying for that service, you will be able to redeem it 50% more, which means that you were basically getting 3% value back on every dollar spent all along. This of course applies to groceries as well, which makes it one of the highest value back propositions on groceries, certainly among no fee cards. But of course, if you don't have at least one service with one of Rogers, Fido, or Shaw, then you won't be able to get these high value back rates with this card, and you would definitely be better off looking at one of the other options presented in this video.

The next card we take a look at is the BMO Cash Back Mastercard. This card gets you 3% cash back on every dollar spent on groceries. This means that you can get that 3% cash back with the card if you can't qualify for the high value back rates offered by the Rogers Red Mastercard. Of course, this BMO card is also free to own, and offers the highest cash back rate on groceries among all no fee credit cards in Canada.

Next up, we take a look at the Amex SimplyCash Preferred. This card gets you 4% cash back on gas & groceries, as well as 2% back on everything else. This card does have a monthly fee of $10 though, which of course adds up to $120 a year. You do get a higher cash back rate on groceries compared to the Rogers and the BMO options, and you will also get a higher cash back rate of 2% at stores that are not considered grocery stores, i.e. Walmart and Dollar Tree.

Last but not least, we take a look at the Amex Cobalt Card. This card gets you 5 points per dollar spent on groceries, among other categories.
