Now that we understand the fundamentals of flying from startup to shutdown, navigating on the ground, flying traffic patterns, and communicating with ATC, it’s time to leave the premises of our airport...we will now learn how to go from Point A to Point B, also known as cross country (yup, sounds pretty counterintuitive). This series will be split into two lessons — in THIS lesson we'll go over means of navigation (ground radio beacons, airways aka highways in the sky, and other navigational aids as well as their history), which is foundational for understanding aviation navigation as a whole.

One of our missions at Project AVIATE is to educate the rising youth about the diverse hobby and career opportunities in aviation and introduce them to flying aircraft through virtual flight simulation.
