These are the last songs in ‪@thecastellows‬ Malone Junction, New York concert at the Franklin County Fair. Hurricane is a fitting closer as we got rained on a lot! The heavens cleared before the show though:) Sorry for the brief zoomy-zooming in and out for a moment in Come Together .. I was figuring our a new camera - that's is my excuse and I'm sticking to it :)

With performances like this its no wonder that The Castellows got invited to play at The Grand Ole Opry. Well deserved !!!

PS - video recording format chat

This is the another new 4K video I posted. Still trying to figure out the Google Pixel Pro 8 Video Boost settings BTW. "Boost" sure gobbles up a lot of storage for this short show. Without boost, for less than a one hour complete show, the single MP4 file in Sarnia it was 18 GB. The Part 1, 2 and 3 recordings with video boost maxed out the file size several times during the show, hence no complete show yet - each 10 minute boosted video was 18 GB, the phone file size limit. So there are a few gaps in this show where I had to delete some earlier videos to make some room. This last Part 4 did not have pixel video boost and recorded straight to 4K. The boosted videos in Part 1, 2 and 3 are all shades of grey (Powell's blue vest looks grey) - it has a 4032 high resolution but crap colour. So I loaded the HD, good colour 'COVER' versions of the video (no boost). Those are still 1920 resolution.

I would be a bit disappointed about not getting the complete show in 4K in Malone Junction but since the audio mix was sub par where I was standing (very low guitar, electric guitar, and fiddle levels) I'm not too busted up. BTW my buddy went away from our front row spot back toward the grandstand for Hurricane and said there was a good complete balanced audio mix back there - you could hear the guitars and banjos he said. I'll try remixing with his audio here in the future. Stay tuned.

Overall it must be a challenge getting a good sound mix at each new venue, with new equipment, new people, and limited time. For example, for the Malone Junction show started at 7 and the sound check was 1.5 hours before - it was raining and maybe no-one could walk around to hear the mix everywhere. First world problems for sure.
