In this video Yasmin Mogahed talks about how the cause of all pain is this deep attachment to wordly life, this may come in many forms for different people such as attachment to wealth, children, health, looks, moments or materialistic items.
When our expectations of this world are not met we fall despair and lose all hope but in reality this life is not worth anything & there hereafter is the eternal life which we should all be striving for.

Instead of being overly attached to this life we should enjoy the experiences and blessings but also use them for a higher purpose & to get ready to meet Allah. If we try to mould this life into something perfect, we are going to be very disappointed , instead we should accept the fact that this life is not perfect & go through life with patience and persistence!
