Common Materials Required for Fluid Painting:
1. Acrylic paint
This is a must for your paintings and of course it is irreplaceable. There are many stores selling acrylic paints such as Michaels and Walmart (if you live in US or Canada). However not every people have access to this stores. So Amazon is always a safe bet to find all your needs. There are many different acrylic paints on amazon with different thickness. you can always mixed the paints with water and Floetrol to reach the proper density for your work.

2. Floetrol
Floetrol is a water-based additive for acrylic paints that improves the fluidity of the paint. This item helps artist to have a better result on the canvas for most of the fluid art techniques specially if you are not applying any base color on the canvas before pouring. Good news, Floetrol is not a must for the painting So If you are having hard time to purchase this item or you are considering cost saving, don't worry you can still finish your art without using Floetrol. Here is where you can find floetrol:

3. Silicone Oil
If you are wondering where all the cells in fluid painting comes from, this would be your answer. you only need couple drops of silicone oil in your paint to see the magic. here is the link to purchase silicone oil:

4. Canvas
The canvas for the fluid art doesn't need to be the best quality. Depends on your taste you can choose different sizes of canvas for your painting

7. Finishing varnish
You can use either the liquid or the spray type of varnish to protect your painting after it's dry. It also gives your art a beautiful shiny look.

8. Water
Depends on the acrylic paints brand you may get different paint thickness. Water helps to make the paint thinner. Obliviously the thicker the paint is the more water you need specially if you are not using Floetrol.

9. Torch
Using water to dilute the paint usually cause having lots of uninvited guest on your canvas called air bubbles. Having some air bubbles in fluid art is normal however if you have lots of them the paint will struggle to move evenly on the canvas specially for those techniques that you need to tilt the canvas to give access to the paint to reach to the other part of your canvas. In this case we use a torch to kill the air bubbles.
