Welcome back to the fourth episode of FeltovichFit!

This might be THE most important episode. Building a strong, stable, healthy core is probably the most important thing you can do for injury prevention and athletic performance. Despite its importance, most people and even most athletes treat the core as an afterthought and either leave it to the end of the workout or neglect it altogether. When people do train their core, they often train in ways that are fundamentally at odds with the core’s structure and function: situps, twists, crunches, and other exercises that are either a waste of time or downright dangerous.

This episode will explain the structure and function of the core and tell you how to train it optimally. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn that you can train all the muscles of the core with just three exercises and just a few minutes a day based on the research of exercise and spinal expert Dr. Stu McGill.
