Poets Sydney Lea and Parker Towle read from their newest books in an evening of poetry at the Norwich Bookstore.
Lea, former Poet Laureate of Vermont, reads from his fourth collection of poetry, No Doubt the Nameless. Poet Carol Muske-Dukes says, "Again and again these startling, beautifully-made poems upend assumptions about life, death and everything in-between."
Lea has written a number of books of poems and essays, including I Was Thinking of Beauty; A North Country Life: Tales of Woodsmen, Water, and Wildlife; Six Sundays Toward a Seventh: Selected Spiritual Poems, among others. He lives in Newbury, VT.

Towle reads poems from World Spread Out, his second full-length poetry collection. "Parker Towle's poems achieve a fine balance between our coming and going on the face of the earth and the magical presence of the earth itself," writes poet Baron Wormser.
Towle has published several poetry chapbooks and has edited an anthology of unpublished poems entitled Exquisite Reaction. For 25 years he was on the board of The Frost Place in Franconia, NH, and taught at its summer festival. A member of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Clinic, he teaches and practices neurology. Towle has hiked since childhood in the northern New England mountains.
