1. **DAL CHAWAL**

COOKING TIME
Total time: 1 hour

INGREDIENTS:
Chana dal half cup-soaked overnight
Water 2 liters
Garlic 3 cloves
Onions-thinly sliced 2 medium
Tomatoes 2 large
Green chilies whole 4
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Garam masala half tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric (haldi) 1 tsp
Mung dal 1/4 cup
Masoor dal (red lentils) half cup

CALORIES
Calories per serving: 186 calories
Total no. of servings: 5

2. **CHANA DAL**

COOKING TIME
Total time: 20-25 mins

INGREDIENTS :
½ cup chana dal (split chickpea lentils)
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin (zeera)
1 black cardamom (bari Ilaichi )
1 bay leaf (tez patta)
2 small onions
1 tbsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsan)
2 small tomatoes
5-6 green chili
1 tsp red chili powder (lal mirch powder)
½ tsp Turmeric (Haldi )
1 tsp Coriander Powder (dhania powder)
Salt to taste
1 tsp All ground Spices (garam masala)
1 tsp black pepper (kali mirch)
1 cup coriander leaves (dhania)
½ tbsp ginger (adrak)

CALORIES:
Calories per serving: 97 calories
Total no. of servings: 4

3. **DAL MASH**

COOKING TIME:
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 35-40 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 40-50 minutes

INGREDIENTS :
1 Cup Urad Daal /Dal Mash/Skinless Split Black Grams
4 to 6 Cups Water
1 tbsp Oil
2 Medium Onions
½ Tsp Turmeric / Haldi
6 Green Chili
1 Tomato Large
1½ Tsp Red Chili Powder
Salt to taste
½ Tsp Black Pepper
½ Tsp Garam Masala

CALORIES:
Calories per serving = 273 calories
Total servings = 4

4. **KALAY MASAR**

COOKING TIME
Total time: 20-25 mins

INGREDIENTS:
1½ cup kali Masar dal (Whole Black Lentil Grams) washed
½ tbsp Salt
1 tsp Red chili powder
½ tsp Haldi (Turmeric)
2 cloves Garlic
8 cups water

For Tarka:
2 tsp Oil / Ghee
1 Red chili
½ small Onion

CALORIES:
Calories per serving: 248 calories
Total no. of servings: 4

5. **MOONG MASOOR DAL**

COOKING TIME
Total time: 20-25 mins

INGREDIENTS:
1 tbsp Ghee / Oil
1 large Onion - sliced
1 tbsp Adrak - Lehsan (Ginger - Garlic)
½ cup Moong Dal (Green gram split)
½ cup Masoor Dal (Red or Pink lentils)
2 tsp Salt - or to taste
1 tsp Red chili powder
½ tsp Haldi (Turmeric)
6 cups Water

CALORIES:
Calories per serving: 215 calories
Total no. of servings: 4
