MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) For the 30th year, 100 local children and adults with disabilities were given the opportunity to attend a week-long summer camp courtesy of Goodwill Easter Seals.

The campers left Mobile Sunday to attend the Easter Seals' Camp ASCCA (Alabama Special Camp for Children and Adults), the largest barrier-free camp facility in the nation. While at camp, participants will have the opportunity to go horseback riding, fishing, tubing, swimming, canoeing, zip-lining and much more.

"It's a great opportunity for a child or an adult to be all that they were meant to be. These are folks with disabilities that love life. Sometime are told they cant do this and cant do that because they have a disability. and when they go to camp it's yes you can, yes you can...and they can and they have a great time," said CEO of Goodwill Easter Seals Frank Harkins.

Proceeds from the week-long event were donated by the Mobile Rotary Club.

Campers are scheduled to return home Friday, August 1.
