Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS has just completed its closest approach to Mars on October 3, 2025, passing at about 30 million km. This was one of the most important opportunities yet to observe a visitor from outside our solar system — but it comes during a critical moment.

What makes Three Eye Atlas so unusual? It’s moving at nearly 60 km/s, aligned unusually close to the ecliptic plane, with a massive 700,000 km-wide coma but no typical comet tail. Some scientists call it the most bizarre interstellar object ever observed.
