EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS NEEDED
Mask
Gloves
Goggles
Digital scale
Stick Blender
Spatula
Soap mold
Stainless Steel Container for measuring lye
Stainless steel container for mixing lye solution
Heavy duty container for soap batter

INGREDIENTS
Coconut oil(240 grams)
Shea Butter(240 grams)
Olive Oil (192 grams)
Rice Bran Oil (192 grams)
Castor Oil(96 grams)
Essential Oil (28 grams)
Sodium Hydroxide (132 grams)
Distilled Water (264 grams)

Directions :
1. Put on your safety equipments
2. Measure out your oils and butters. Put them in a double boiler on the stove on low heat. I choose low heat so that the butters and oils aren’t too hot when it’s all melted.
3. While butters are melting, measure out your sodium hydroxide and distilled water in separate containers, in a well ventilated area. Pour your sodium hydroxide into your water. Let it cool in the sink.
4. When butters and oils are melted, check the temperature of your lye solution and oils. When they are cooled down to about 120-130 degrees, and atleast 10 degrees apart, pour your lye solution into your oils, slowly and carefully. Stir with spatula. When soap batter is emulsified use stick blender on low or medium and give it a few pulse.
5. Pour your essential oil in soap batter and mix very thoroughly and carefully
7. When soap batter is at light trace pour it into soap mold.
8. Let soap mold for 24-48 hours. When it’s hard enough to come out the mold without being mushed up. Slice soap into desired thickness and let soap bar cure for about 4-6 weeks.
