What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're checking out this power converter from mighty cord. It's going to be 30 amp twist lock to 30 amp. So we're going to plug it right in here today and see how it works. Let's check it out. So just take a closer look at it.

This is going to be the 30 amp female twist lock side. This will be the 30 amp male side. So what we're going to do is plug in the female side to our rig here. And you're going to do a twist lock because if you look at this one, when you go to plug it in you can twist it over just a little bit. And that kind of locks it in place.

So I'll show you what I'm talking about here. With it pushed in like that, then you just turn it just a little bit and then I can't pull it out. So this just helps protect it from popping back out. Then you have this fastener ring on the outside You get that lined up with the grooves on your twist lock port. And that just further secures it on there.

Moves a lot less now. You don't have to worry about it popping right out. So if you have the extension cord run on this end plugged in and somebody comes by and kicks it out. Don't worry about it plugging out completely. It'll just disconnect here that way there's no damage to the prongs up here just the extension cord coming out on this side.

Now I'll plug in my 30 amp power cord. We're going to run this out to the generator, let it hang here. And just another thing while it hangs here, that ads a little bit of cord to it. That way all the pressure is not coming down here. If you get one of those adapters that just twist in right here, all that pressure comes down on that and kind of bends out the prongs. Now, I think this one has a little more reinforcement with this in there and the way it twists. So it's not as bad as some of the other ones, but this extra added length just kind of helps give it and hang down here. Just less pressure up here. Here at our generator, I'm going to plug it into the 30 amp side just show you how it plugs in. Closing that easily. Now, the thing that we'll notice, you probably want to fire this up first, before you plug it in. And because we're inside we're not actually firing up right here. I'm going to take it outside and fire it up. But I just wanted to show you how it connects on this end. With the generator running outside now I can come in here, flip on the power, and see that everything's working. The whole thing's may have rubberized construction so you don't have to worry about dropping it on the ground or anything, nothing's going to chip or break. The only thing I would be careful of is here at the end, this is plastic. It's pretty heavy duty plastic though. I'm pushing on it, it only bends a little bit, but you wouldn't want to break that because then you couldn't fasten it on here. And that just helps keep some of the weather out when you tighten that down. And again, just keeps it nice and contact. You don't have to worry about getting pulled out or anything, if somebody kicks it. Now, this will be a super helpful tool to have just you know, the convert, your twist lock to a regular 30 when you're at the campsite. That way you can get power for the weekend or for however long you're there. You don't have to worry about drain your batteries. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out..
