How It Changed Mine (Finding Community, Life Lessons, and Myself on a Scooter in Bali, Indonesia)

If you let it, Bali can change your life. Two months into being here, it has absolutely changed mine. We're Madison and Ivan and in today's madventure we are bringing you along for that ride!

There is no place like Bali. Surrounded by some of nature's most beautiful scenery, travelers from all over the world, and incredible traditions, you can grow, and your life can change in ways you didn't know you needed it to. Today, I'll show you how my life has changed in my two months here, by taking you along for a madventure that includes some of the nature, people, and traditions that have played a part in this transformation. We start as 7 people from all over the world begin a motorbike ride to Mount Batur. The plan is to leave our stuff at an Airbnb and proceed to Savana Nusu, and Lahagan Suites, BUT a trip that was supposed to take two hours, soon became five hours thanks to multiple flat tires, traffic, and a stop for lunch appreciating beautiful scenery. Due to the weather, all of our plans changed, and after enjoying the beauty of our AirBnb, we wound up at a hot springs with gorgeous volcano views. The evening finished with dinner, lots of dancing, and karaoke by a campfire.

The next morning was a gorgeous lazy one complete with pancakes and volcano views. We check out of our Airbnb to hit the road, stopping for lunch to say a final goodbye to the gorgeous views. Next we head to Gembleng Waterfall, but, of course, our tire pops again. But our fourth auto show was my favorite, because even it had gorgeous views! Gembleng waterfall is quite the hike with stiff legs from holding onto the motorbike, but soaking in its cool, beautiful pools makes it all worth it. What a place to watch the sunrise too!! As we finish our trek back to the Lost Creator House, we realize one night away from the hostel feels like forever. Turns out time passes slowly when you're slowing down, going with the flow, and enjoying every step of the way.
