Paní Garlíková pochází z moravského Slovácka. Vzpomínky na rodný kraj ji kdysi přivedly k prvnímu velkému podnikatelskému počinu, když ji z nouze napadlo ušít tradiční lidový kroj panence. Na veletrhu v Norimberku jí tato jediná panenka zajistila první objednávku za půl milionu korun. Úspěšné podnikání je pro ni jako droga, proto se k němu podruhé vrátila ve svých sedmdesáti letech, kdy si vzala hypotéku na vagon panenek. Podle svých slov se svou prací snaží přispět k uchování krásných tradic a k propagaci naší země.

Alumni of Bata school of work and successful entrepreneur

Mrs. Garlíková comes from Moravian Slovakia. Memories of her native land helped her to establish the first business project when she decided to sew a traditional folk costume for her doll. At the fair in Nuremberg in the late 1930s, this one doll brought her the first order for half a million Czech crowns. Successful business is like a drug for her, so she came back to it in her seventies when she took a mortgage on a carriage full of dolls. As she says, with her work she has been trying to contribute to the preservation of beautiful traditions and to promote the Czech Republic.
