Happy 2025, everyone! Party Hat Wobbuffet has returned to Pokémon GO as a tier three raid boss for the New Year's event! And yes, party hat Wobbuffet can be shiny!

As a pure psychic type Pokemon, Wobbuffet has three weaknesses: bug, dark, and ghost types. A few of the recommended counters for each weakness are listed below!

Bug types: Mega Beedrill, Mega Pinsir, Mega and Shadow Scizor, Mega Heracross, and Pheromosa.

Dark types: Darkrai, Shadow and Mega Tyranitar, Shadow and Mega Houndoom, Hydreigon, Mega Absol, and Mega Sableye.

Ghost types: Dusk Mane Necrozma, Mega Gengar, Shadow Gengar, Shadow Chandelure, and Mega Banette.

If you don't have shadow forms of those Pokémon powered up, that is ok! You can still use the non-shadow forms, they will just do a little less damage.
