Castlevania Lords of Shadow began a new universe for the franchise and covers the origin of Dracula. In this retrospective review I give an overview of the story and discuss the gameplay mechanics of Lords of Shadow. This reboot is influence by popular series such as Devil May Cry and God of War. This is ironic as Metroid and Castlevania are among the most influential franchises in terms of modern game design.
