Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) is a lazy but brilliant college dropout with an eidetic memory that has allowed him to pass the bar exam without attending law school. Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), one of Manhattan's best lawyers, hires Ross as his new associate. Because of the firm's policy of hiring only Harvard Law graduates, Ross is forced to pretend that he has gone to Harvard.

Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter: New York's best closer, a senior partner at Pearson Hardman and former ADA in the New York County District Attorney's Office.
Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross: an attorney who never attended law school, but his eidetic memory allows him to consume and regurgitate legal knowledge better than attorneys who have studied law at places such as Harvard. He uses this skill to convince Harvey to hire him as his associate attorney over other candidates who are Harvard Law graduates.
Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt: a junior partner at Pearson Hardman who serves as the "disciplinarian" of the associates, as well as Harvey's antagonist.
Meghan Markle as Rachel Zane: a paralegal who at first is a friend to Mike, but later on starts to develop romantic feelings toward him. She aspires to be an attorney, but suffers from test anxiety.
Sarah Rafferty as Donna Paulsen: Harvey's assistant and close confidant, who has worked with him since his first year as an ADA.
Gina Torres as Jessica Pearson: Harvey's boss, Pearson Hardman co-founder, and managing partner of the firm.
