In this chapter, we will learn what is a sentence, types of sentences and examples related to it,
finally, I will give you an exercise to practice.

What is a Sentence?
A sentence is a group of words that makes complete sense.

Whenever we speak or write, we use words.
We generally use these words in the group. and this group must make complete sense.

Based on the sense or meaning of the sentence, they are divided into four types.

1. Declarative sentence.
2. Interrogative sentence.
3. Imperative sentence.
4. Exclamatory sentence

Let's look into each of them with examples.

1. Declarative Sentences

A declarative sentence is used to tell information or fact or simply make a statement or assertion.
The statement could be positive or negative.
They end with a full stop or period.

2. Interrogative Sentences
Interrogative Sentence asks a question.
They end with a question mark.

3. Imperative Sentences
An imperative sentence gives a command or asks for a request.
Iy end with a '.' or '!' mark depending on how forcefully you say any sentence.
Generally, we use 'full stop' but if the sentence is said more forcefully, we use an exclamation mark as well.

Notice, as we have said the sentence forcefully, the exclamation is used.

Do remember one point here, In imperative sentences, the subject is always 'you, but it is implied not mentioned.
So, here assume that the word 'you' is mentioned.

Now, let's look into the fourth type of sentence.

4. Exclamatory sentences
An exclamatory sentence expresses strong emotions or feelings.
It ends with an '!' mark.

5. optative sentence
It is used to express a wish or a prayer. and generally starts with 'may' or 'wish'
It ends with a '.' or '!' mark depending on how forcefully you say any sentence.
Generally, we use 'full stop' but if the sentence is said more forcefully, we use an exclamation mark as well.

Identify the type of sentence from the sentences given below.
For example,
1.Stop it. It is an imperative sentence.
Now, identify the next sentences and provide the answer in the comment.
2.What a beautiful girl she is!
3.How many days are there in a week?
4.He does not like sports.
5.May success bless your efforts.
