Today (7/25/2021) we went over to Disney's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. We had breakfast reservations for Trail's End Restaurant (which just opened back up a few days ago). This restaurant is now family-style (not a buffet at this time).

We didn't realize it's an ordeal getting over to the restaurant, so we were 20 minutes late. But we went over to check in and it wasn't a problem. Our table was ready in less than 5 minutes. We had pretty early reservations (8:10am) and the restaurant wasn't very busy yet.

To get to the Trail's End Restaurant you have to park in the parking lot at the front of the Fort Wilderness Campground. Then they told us to take a golf cart or bus back to the "settlement". There was a sign saying the golf carts were sold out for the day (and I'm not sure how we'd fit 6 people in one anyway), so we took the bus. I asked the bus driver if we were on the right bus to go to Trail's End and they had no idea. Haha! There are a lot of new cast members and cast members in training right now. Also since Trail's End just opened back up, it's not on the map yet! But it is in Pioneer Hall.

We loved the breakfast here! The eggs had brisket in them (so good), hash brown casserole, bacon, sausage, Mickey waffles, bread baskets (with strawberry honey butter - which is addictive) and yogurt parfaits! Adults (10 and up) are $19.99 and kids (3-9) are $11.99. This was a really good deal! There are no characters here, so it is much cheaper than the Tusker House (we did that for breakfast last weekend) and the food was even better at Trail's End, too! We will definitely be back!

I did order the Sparkling No-jito, which was on there breakfast menu. They didn't have that available (because their bar was still closed - even though this has no alcohol in it). No biggie. I know it just opened and they have some things to work out. I just had ice water instead. Just know they might not have everything available that is on their breakfast drink menu.

After breakfast, we walked over to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. We got there just before 10am (pony rides start at 10am). We were told at Trail's End that pony rides are cash only, but when we got there they said they take cash, credit cards, MagicBands, etc. Pony rides are $8 for one lap or $12 for two laps. The kids also have to be under 80 lbs and under 48' tall (but they also must be at least 2 years old and must be able to hold on by themselves). Also an adult must walk the pony around the track (and you can't take pictures of video while doing it, they let you take pics at the end).

Finnegan rode a white pony (with blue eyes), named Stormy. Finn loved the pony ride. Quinn rode a chubby dark brown horse, named Vader. He tolerated the ride, but was glad it was over. Maeve isn't old enough, but the cast member brought Vader back out so Maeve could pet a pony. So that was nice!

It was also fun to see some of the horses! We met Phil, who happens to be one of Merida's horses at the Magic Kingdom. Phil is 10 years old. It pays to talk to cast members. :) And Rookie is one of the horses at Epcot that is in the princess cavalcade.

We will definitely be going back to Tri-Circle-D Ranch (especially when Maeve is old enough to do the pony rides). They also have adult horse rides (and you go to the barns by the parking lot to do those - and they recommend reservations for those). Pony rides are walk up only.

We will also be going back to Trail's End! That was a great breakfast!
