LEON, SPAIN

2018 Sep 12_13 -- Leon is another beautiful place worth-visiting along the Camino de Santiago route in Spain. Understanding its vast historical and architectural heritage makes this trip very interesting and different. A visit to Leon without seeing Leon's Cathedral is not complete. The Cathedral is an example of French-style classic Gothic architecture in Spain; it has a very extensive and best-preserved collections of medieval stained glass in Europe, majority of which contains the original windows. Indeed, a jaw-dropping beauty not to be missed! The Roman walls in the Northern sides are well-preserved, and the experience to walk the medieval wall is like walking along with the Romans. Our next journey gets us to Astorga and Palais del Rey ...
