I'm not a fan of the "Big Idea worship" I've seen in the copywriting space.

I understand the function and value of a big idea...

But it creates a very high bar for newbie copywriters... Who want to learn how to write copy... To try and jump over.

So instead, I like to think in smaller chunks.

I just want to get to my "unique promise."

And I can do that in a couple steps...

Ultimately, it starts with THE PRODUCT...

From the product, we extract the USP (unique selling proposition)...

From the USP we extract a unique promise.

At that point you have a solid start for cranking out copy.

You have what you need to present something desirable, something the reader wants...

AND you have the means to position yourself as the ONLY place to get it on any market.
