Normally we try to get Zany up here both during the winter equinox and summer solstice but had to settle on him being here in July instead. As the proprietor of "The Zany Report" (broadcast on over 160 radio channels coast to coast) which is heard exclusively on my morning radio show every Tuesday it's fun for folks who are only used to hearing him to get a chance to see what the Zany looks like up close and personal. Bob is a throw back to the comedy of yesteryear with his sarcastic one-liners, put downs and self-deprecating sense of humor. Of course he loves cutting people down especially other comedians so it's kind of an honor having Zany roast you every minute he can. Zany has quite a varied background in entertainment that has served him well over the years (decades). He has a biting sense of humor and has the chops to think very quickly on his toes. He has worked with and produced various comedy shows over the years (decades) and has earned a solid reputation for being very professional and is a joy to work with. His comedy shows featured such newcomers-at-the-time Garry Shandling, Yakov Smirnoff, Robert Wulh, Kevin Nealon and Nia Peeples to name but a few. After one show Zany was approached by Frazier Smith, the host of a top-rated radio show on KLOS/LA. After a short time doing guest spots on Frazier's show Zany was hired by KLOS as a personality with his own show on Saturday mornings. Zany has been in several movies including Matt Damon's "The Informant!" and the documentary, "I am Comic." After the show he's a one-man merchandizing network with everything from CD,. DVD,s T-shirts, bumper stickers and special package deals so it's like taking a little (a lot) bit of Bob Zany home with you after every experience.
