The Disappearing Cliffs in Tunstall

Описание к видео The Disappearing Cliffs in Tunstall

The cliffs have been breached and now it is only a matter of time before the sea takes over.
A very interesting part of our local coastline is in Tunstall...the cliffs disappear in a small area, leaving no protection at all.
Also, while researching the area I found out this..

The Greenwich Meridian Trail is a long-distance walking route that follows the invisible geographic marker of the Prime Meridian as it passes through England.
If you trace the Prime Meridian line from the North Pole heading south, the first landfall you’ll make is along the eastern coast of England.
Meridian Marker in Tunstall:
Tunstall, located in East Yorkshire, plays a role in the Greenwich Meridian Trail.
The trail would have originally ended at a trig point in Tunstall, marking the termination of the Meridian line.
Unfortunately, the trig point no longer exists, but efforts are underway to re-erect some form of permanent sign or marking at the cliff’s top.
The northern terminus of the trail is now at Sand le Mere, where the coastline is also the fastest eroding in Britain, causing the trail to gradually shorten due to cliff collapses.
