Many people are concerned about how money will be managed for a disabled individual or a child with special needs at the time they pass away. One of the options they have available to them is a pooled trust. A pooled trust typically will setup an account for the disabled individual, into which funds can be deposited and managed by that pooled trust company. What is a specialty of a pooled trust company is the management of governmental benefits, so they understand the intricate rules associated with Supplemental Security Income and Medicaid, and can do the annual reporting.
