Yesterday was the last day of cape epic.
Last early turn out, last warm up.
I think we fought well again.
The last day is always pretty interesting but also tough because everybody wants to be in front for winning the last and most prestigious stage.
From the beginning on the stage has been relatively fast and again had a very long climb at the beginning.
Unfortunately we could not catch up with the leaders at the beginning of the race but managed to get back to the top trying to not lose any more time on level passages.
I think looking at the whole week we drove a good race.
Cape Epic is over now. It’s been 8 hard days and I guess the training effect will show over the next weeks.
I always take riding under stress like this as a chance for me to develop myself.
Now I am looking ahead to the European Championships and the race et Lago di Garda.
With a few days off and some training I feel confident to get good results at these races.
