2025 Kia Sportage | POV Review

2025 Kia Sportage X-Pro Prestige POV Review! In this video, we're going to take the Sportage for a spin on my favorite back road, talk about what it's like to drive it, test the acceleration, listen to the exhaust, and talk about the interior space.

The segment of compact SUVs is more competitive than ever, with more than DOZEN vehicles to choose from, and believe it or not, when the Sportage first came more than 30 years ago, it didn’t have many rivals. Something that was once a body-on-frame construction codeveloped with Mazda, is now a full grown, unibody SUV.

The Sportage is built on a modular platform, shared with other Hyundai and Kia products, such as a K5 or a Sorento, a and is offered in three powertrain variants - 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 187 hp and two hybrids with a turbocharged 1.6L motor under a hood - a 227 hp classic hybrid and a 261 hp plugin hybrid with 34 miles of electric range. Good news is both models feature a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, not a CVT.

Other compact SUVs to consider are a Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-50, Nissan Rouge, Subaru Forester, Hyundai Tucson, Ford Escape, or Chevy Equinox.
