Switching streets to low-carbon heat | A sustainable future | Nesta

Working with Kensa Utilities, we are going to develop a solution to enable homes within a neighbourhood to collectively sign up and purchase low-carbon heating. Kensa provides shared ground source heating to multiple homes from shared ground arrays. Through this project we want to address both the practical barriers faced on the ground and the systemic issues around planning and investment to show how different changes can positively affect uptake of this model for low-carbon heating across the UK.
