Hands On: Avermedia Live Gamer HD VS Fraps (Battlefield 4 Record Quality Comparison)

Описание к видео Hands On: Avermedia Live Gamer HD VS Fraps (Battlefield 4 Record Quality Comparison)

In this video I go hands-on with AVerMedia Live Gamer HD screen capture card.

I start with a quick unboxing and overview of the Live Gamer HD and then do a head-to-head comparison between it and fraps looking specifically how recording effects frame rate.

My personal opinion (based on screen capture software I have used) is that software like Camtasia is the best software for putting together low framerate training videos or tutorials (like how to use a website, photoshop or word).

Fraps is fine for most of your game-recording needs.

But the Avermedia Live Gamer HD is best at recording high frame-rate games like Battlefield 4 where a reduction in frame rate cannot be tolerated.

Keep in mind that the Live Gamer HD card can accept a maximum input of 1080P @ 60Hz but can only record at a maximum of 1080P at 30Hz.

It can record at 60fps at resolutions of 1280x800 and below (with a few exceptions)

Based on my observations as documented in this video, Fraps hits me with a 33 fps frame rate drop (125-92) when recording on the Battlefield 4 "Test Range". In comparison, when performing the same test, I lose only 10 fps when I record with the Avermedia Live Gamer HD (125-115).
