Chalet la Floria is a very popular destination roughly 300 meters above the Chamonix Valley floor. They serve a pancakes, cakes, omelettes and other small meals and snacks. The quickest to way to get there is to hike up from the center of Chamonix. If you are coming by car then the nearest car park is at the tennis club. If you want to lengthen the trip a bit then a good option is to continue on to La Flegere after which you can take the gondola back down or continue on to Lac Blanc. If you only want to go downhill then simply take the gondola up to Flegere and hike down passing by La Floria on your way back to Chamonix.
