We continue northwards along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. Passing Saddleworth we reach the Diggle end of Standedge Tunnel right on schedule, but our plans are almost thwarted by mechnaical trouble with the boat. Fotunately our membership of the canal rescue organistaion proves its worth and we are able to make our passage through the tunnel, as booked, on Bank Holiday Monday.
