About the song:
I started working on this song as soon as I found an instrument I could use for the distorting bass, and started looking for others as I went along like usual, and while doing that I found out that at least 2 other games have nearly the exact same bass instrument too, how curious.

Not much to say, really, I just looked for instruments, found some that worked, edited them to fit better, and voilà.

About the picture:
I was listening to this while playing Sonic 3, and I noticed how similar Carnival Night is to Aqua Road. When thinking how to do the wooden water tubes I thought maybe I could use the Sonic 2 Special Stage tube, but it was easier to just look around for something else than edit that giant thing. And then I found the Bubsy sprites. The entire background is just Carnival Night mixed with the level 2 background from Bubsy, I just colored the sky to look like water. And I reused some stuff from my Luminous Forest image too.

The Avatar wasn't too hard to make, surprisingly. I just drew over Sonic's sprite, I made the cheeks shorter, made him leaner, etc. Didn't know his gloves are white on the inside, but who'd notice if they weren't.

Oh, and I drew the Nebula robots from scratch, I used the Sonic 2 ones for reference but didn't draw over them. I originally drew them in 3/4 perspective, but the lighting was hard AF and didn't look right, so I did the same I did with my Luminous Forest SMS pic and made it symmetrical, it was easier to draw and I had less to do. I realized Sonic 3 has nearly no ball sprites with gradient lighting, it's either all flat or has something like spikes over them or the like, which makes them of very little help as references, and also, they usually go from one color to another at the bottom, not something I can do very easily.
