Privilege of Freedom

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation of South Korea, I wanted to create this Tunnel Book to portray privilege of freedom, which allows the whole world to discover all the beautiful landmarks of South Korea that we can see today.
.
It all started with a man and a woman wearing traditional Hanbok in the first frame - depicting the two from the past, seemingly proud and relieved looking to the present South Korea that they are dreaming for (to the deeper layers of the frame of the tunnel book).
From Busan, Gwangju, Daegu and back to Seoul, South Korea has a lot to offer that can be seen through one tunnel. And that’s how beautiful South Korea is from my view and lens.

And as we go through the making video of the tunnel book, i wanted to bring along the viewers to also recite the privilege of freedom, which allows us to travel.
And in all of it — the motion, the moments, the miles — we find something deeper than a destination. We find gratitude. Gratitude for the privilege to roam. To wander. To wonder. To come home changed.
