The Gilded Age Presidents | Hayes - McKinley | RAC's Presidential Parks

Описание к видео The Gilded Age Presidents | Hayes - McKinley | RAC's Presidential Parks

The Gilded Age of America saw the rise of the millionaire, the monopoly, and the continued industrialization of the United States. But among all the smoke and tycoons, places were beginning to be set aside for the public to enjoy as places of recreation - the first national parks. After the establishment of Yellowstone National Park by Ulysses Grant in 1872, several more areas would come under protection through various Gilded Age presidents. Today we’re going to look at those presidents, including Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield, Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison, and William McKinley, through the national parks that honor and define them.
